香港大學明原堂舊宿生悼文

I was resident of Old Halls from 1972 to 1975.  Dr. Chan was always kind and courteous with every student and staff.  At unexpected moments, Dr. Chan showed his sense of humor and livened up some unnecessary tense moments – unnecessary when looking back on them now, like fights with meal service chief Ah Chan and what the Ex-Co demanded on behalf of dorm students.  Young people growing up might not be so mindful of the caring adults around them.  We all realize and miss those memorable moments.
